Temporary fence rental pricing, flat fee with no rent clock

One number, agreed before we set the first panel, and it covers taking the run back down.

The national temporary fence companies make their margin after the fence is up: rent that keeps running when a project runs long, a charge to come and collect the fence, and a fee for every damaged panel. Fence Wizards prices the job once, and the removal is already inside that number.

Two ways to get a number

If you are buying. Call and Richard quotes it verbally on that call, because you usually need the figure before you need it in writing. The written proposal follows.

If you are estimating. The pricing tool is there so a preconstruction manager or an estimator can pull a reference figure into a bid without picking up the phone at all. Draw the run on a map, pick the fence style, and it works out the rest.

Five things we need to price a job

This is the whole list. Rough numbers are fine on the first call and we will tighten them when we walk it.

01

Where the project is

A site address or the nearest cross street. Distance from Greenwood is part of the number and we would rather be straight about that than bury it.

02

What style of fence

Panels and stands, post driven chain link, or barricades. If you are not sure, describe the site and we will tell you which one is right.

03

How many linear feet

The run, roughly. Pacing it out or reading it off a site plan are both fine.

04

How many gates

And where the deliveries come in. Gates in the wrong place cost your crew time every single day.

05

How long you need it

Weeks or months. Under a few months gets a short term discount, and up to twelve months is the standard term.

What the flat fee covers

Four lines, and none of them move after you agree the number.

IncludedDelivery and install

The crew, the truck and the material to get the run in the ground or on the stands.

IncludedThe removal

We come and take it away at the end. There is no separate collection charge and never has been.

IncludedTime on the clock

Up to twelve months on a standard rental. If your schedule slips, the number does not move.

TermsNet 30 or up front

Net 30 for vetted accounts. Smaller or unvetted clients pay in full up front, and we say which applies at the start.

What buyers ask about the price

Every one of these comes up on the phone, and the answer is the same one Richard gives.

Why is there no price list on this page?

Because a linear foot of fence on a flat suburban lot and a linear foot on a downtown site with no lay down area are not the same job, and a price list would be wrong on both. The five things listed higher up this page are what turn it into a real number, and the quote tool will work it out without you talking to anyone.

What is actually included in the flat fee?

Delivery, the install, the rental for the agreed term, and taking it back down at the end. What is not in it is rent that keeps running, a collection charge, or a fee for every bent panel, because those are the three places a national company makes its margin after the fence is up.

How long is the standard rental term?

Up to twelve months. Short jobs of a few months or less get a discount rather than paying the same as a year.

What happens if the job runs past the term?

Call before it does and we will sort it out. Inside the agreed term a schedule slip costs nothing, which is the entire point of pricing it flat instead of monthly.

Do you take net thirty?

For clients we have worked with before, yes. Smaller or unvetted accounts pay up front. We say which one applies on the first call rather than at the invoice.

How accurate is the online quote tool?

It is built to give a buyer a real working number without a phone call, which is what an estimator usually wants at the bid stage. Anything unusual about access, ground or timing is worth a call, because those are the things a map cannot see.

Will you beat a written quote from a national company?

We will tell you honestly whether we can. What we will not do is win it on the headline number and then take it back on rent, removal and damage fees, which is the comparison worth making when you read the two quotes side by side.

Does the price change if my site is at the edge of your radius?

The drive is part of the number and on a job at the outer edge of the eighty miles that shows up. We say so on the call rather than folding it into a vague figure.
